Who are the Care Quality Commission?

The role of the CQC is to make sure that hospitals, care homes, dental and general practices and other care services in England meet national standards to provide people with safe, effective and high-quality care.

The CQC do this through a registration process against a series of minimum standards of quality and safety and then periodically inspecting services and publishing the results on their website to help people make better decisions about the care they receive.
