National Diabetes Audit

The National Diabetes Audit (NDA) is the benchmark for diabetes care in the UK. It is carried out annually to assess achievement of nine care processes and attainment of treatment targets.

It is the one of the largest annual clinical audits in the world, integrating data from both primary and secondary care sources, making it the most comprehensive audit of its kind. Further information is available on the NHS Digital website.

NDA Berkshire West CCGs 2013-15
NDA results for 2013/14 and 2014/15 were published in January 2016. The format is different this year with emphasis on attainment of the three treatment targets: HbA1c, BP and Cholesterol. HSCIC have pre-prepared a slide presentation, into which the individual CCG results have been inserted. The four Berkshire West CCGs had 100% participation in the audit - only 19/211 CCGs nationally achieved this (another 3 were in East Berkshire so Berkshire was unique in having 100% participation!)
