Expressions of interest invited to become a member of the NHS Assembly

Building on the collaborative approach to developing the NHS Long Term Plan, the NHS Assembly is a new national forum that will regularly bring together a range of stakeholders from across the health and care system to advise the Boards of NHS England and NHS Improvement as part of a ‘guiding coalition’ to support the implementation of the NHS Long Term Plan.

The Assembly will be formed of around 50 individuals, drawn from national and frontline clinical leaders, patient leaders, staff representatives, health and care system leaders and voluntary, community and social enterprise sector leaders, who will bring their experience, knowledge and links to wider networks to inform the discussion and debate of the Assembly.

NHS England's Public Participation Team is seeking innovators and leaders (although you do not need to be in a leadership position) to bring energy and creative thinking to the Assembly. You should have a demonstrable commitment to the values of the NHS, have experience of operating at a regional or national level or as part of a wider network, and be prepared to work collaboratively with other Assembly members.
